Are you struggling to make it through each day? Do you find yourself running out of time before you’ve even done half of what you were supposed to do in any given day? If you answered “yes” then you most likely need to manage your time a little better.

Personal time management is something that a lot of people struggle with. Coming to grips with the amount of tasks you require yourself to complete each day and the reality of the fact that there are only 24 hours in a day is difficult.

If you’ve taken on too much and never have enough time in your day, ask yourself these questions then apply the personal time management tips:

Where are you wasting time? If you always seem to run out of time, chances are you are wasting time somewhere. Take a hard look at your daily schedule. If possible, keep an hourly record for one full week to see where you’re spending your time. Doing this will open your eyes to many areas where you are wasting time. Once you discover these areas, eliminate those time wasters.

Do you have a plan? Most people who complain about never having enough time usually don’t even have a time management plan. Grab a monthly calendar and plan out each month, week to week. From this main planner, make yourself a weekly, then daily To Do list. This will help you keep you on track and prevent you from wasting time.

Are your priorities in order? Those who find themselves lacking in the time management area usually don’t even know what their priorities are. If this describes you, sit down right now and quickly write down your list of priorities without thinking about it. Does it surprise you to see things on your list that aren’t really a priority? Do you find that things you thought should be a priority didn’t make it on your list? Do a regular checklist of your priorities to make sure they are aligned correctly.

The only way to have enough time in each day is to apply these personal time management tips. Start today and continue practicing them every day. Make personal time management top priority!
