The premise behind the Law of Attraction is that if you ask for something that you truly want and meditate upon it, you will receive it. Of course, there is a lot more to it and it isn’t quite that simple, but that is the basic idea behind it. Let’s take a closer look at what this means.

Before you can ask for something, you have to know exactly what it is you will ask for. A child doesn’t usually ask for candy. Instead, they tell you they want the peanut M&Ms or the blue raspberry Laffy Taffies.

This same rule applies to the Law of Attraction. If you are vague in your request, the answer you receive will be just as vague. You have to be specific.

In order to be clear and specific, you must clearly define your heart’s desire. What is it deep down inside that you really want? What is that secret desire you’ve kept hidden for years because you were afraid to share it with anyone else? Uncover that.

Once you are able to be honest with yourself and clearly state what your desire is, you can then ask for it. By asking, I mean, you simply send out a request, whether mentally or physically, to the universe for what you want. Do it in your own way.

After you ask for what you want, continue meditating on it daily. Think about it. Daydream of it. Keep holding a picture of it in your mind until you are convinced that it is yours.

Here’s where most people drop off though. Now it isn’t enough to just think about it and wish for it. At this point, it is up to you to begin acting towards it. Putting action behind your desire opens up the door to greater possibilities and the chance of it coming to you a lot faster. You have to become proactive.

find your perfect mate with the law of attraction

The law of attraction is simple. It states that whatever you focus your thoughts and attention on is what you will attract into your life. But can the law of attraction be used to find your perfect mate? Yes, I believe it can, and I have a story to share with you about how this happened for a friend of mine. I’ll call her Janie…

Janie was involved in an unhealthy relationship. It was an on again, off again kind of relationship. And it seemed to everyone (except Janie) that this relationship was not healthy for her.

Janie claimed that she loved this guy. She enjoyed spending time with his family and she truly thought that he was “the one” for her. However, as time passed by, it became clearly evident that this guy was not committed to this relationship as Janie was.

Arguments would ensue and upon the final break-up, Janie became emotionally distraught. She couldn’t eat. She couldn’t sleep. She clearly missed having this person in her life, even though he was not devoted to her.

I gave Janie a journal and told her that this was not just an ordinary journal. This was a special journal, in which she’d write about all the things she wanted in a man and in a relationship. I encouraged her to put all her feelings on paper and really get it out there—what she wanted.

Janie contacted me later to tell me about some of the things she’d written in her journal. She told me about how it had helped her overcome the loss of her relationship.

Here’s the interesting thing…now, years later, Janie is married to the man of her dreams and they are awaiting the birth of their first child. By using something as simple as journaling her greatest desires in a relationship, Janie subconsciously created a path to marriage and a family.

Decide what you want. Focus only on that. Then go for it.

The law of attraction has become most popular among those seeking to improve themselves in various ways. The law of attraction simply states that you attract to you whatever you focus your mind on most. Taking this definition into consideration, we can see that the law of attraction can be very helpful in weight loss.

How the law of attraction works

As stated above, with the law of attraction, like attracts like. If you sit around and think about eating hamburgers all day, what do you think you’re going to do the first chance you get? You’re going to run down to the local burger joint and get the biggest, juiciest burger in town! If you’re really bad, you might even get two.

On the other hand, if you concentrate your mind on exercise and nutrition, it will be much easier to choose healthier foods over junk foods. You’ll be more willing to exert your energy into exercise more often.

How the LOA works for weight loss

Let’s factor all this into the equation of weight loss. Can the law of attraction truly help you to lose weight?

The truth is that just thinking about losing weight will never make the pounds melt off your hips and thighs. Dreaming about being skinny again will never make you skinny. There’s one tiny piece of the puzzle missing—a piece only you hold. ACTION

The law of attraction can serve you well by creating a more positive and focused mindset towards your weight loss goals. But you must be willing to kick-start your body’s weight loss process by getting up and taking action for yourself.

Does the law of attraction work for weight loss? Yes. But only when you apply some elbow-grease action behind your thoughts.
