The Basics of Visualization
If you’ve ever had a dream, or a goal, what did you do to reach it? Maybe you thought about your dream all the time. Or you may have created a collage, a visual image, of what you wanted, to use as motivation to work towards your dream.
Whether you realized it or not, these are visualization methods. Whether you use internal visualization or external, it is powerful enough to keep you motivated and excited about your dreams.
Visualizing your dreams is simple; anyone can do it. To begin, close your eyes and think about what you want. Then imagine what your life would be like once you have that. Allow yourself to daydream (visualize) about these things.
Using Visualization to Get What You Want
Visualization is often misunderstood as the end-all solution to goals. This couldn’t be further from the truth. Visualization is instead the beginning of getting everything you want.
You should use visualization to:
· Encourage yourself when you’re feeling unproductive
· Motivate yourself when you want to quit
· Feel good about who you are and where you’re going
Visualization is important to maintaining high self morale. Apply action behind your desires, and use visualization as the gasoline to fuel that fire of desire.

What is the Law of Attraction?
The law of attraction simply states that you get what you think about. Or, as some put it, like attracts like. The basic premise behind the law of attraction is that it is unbiased and neutral. And whether you are consciously aware or not of thinking negative or positive thoughts, the law of attraction will give you what you think about.
Why the naysayers don’t like the law of attraction
Those who disagree with the law of attraction say that it is blasphemous to agree with a concept that states you can literally attract what you want by using your mental power. They claim it goes against every scriptural principal in the Bible.
Why they’re all wrong
We all have the ability within ourselves to either possess a positive or negative mindset. And with either of these, your mindset rules what direction your life will take. For example, when something seemingly bad happens, someone positive has a greater tendency to see it as a learning experience. Someone with a negative attitude will become pessimistic and angry and take out their problem on everyone around them.
For those who say the law of attraction goes against Biblical principles, they couldn’t be further from the truth either. In fact, Galations 6:7 states, “Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.”

The Law of Attraction is powerful and can be used by anyone. However, some people don’t believe in it, and even think that the Law of Attraction is just a bunch of hooey. For those who do believe, here are a few ways you can use the Law of Attraction in your life.
1. The Law of Attraction can change your way of thinking. If you have been a negative thinker for some time, you can use the Law of Attraction to change those thoughts into more positive ones. It takes time, but it is possible.
2. The Law of Attraction opens your mind and heart to more possibilities. All too often we grow discouraged way too fast. We may even think that we’re “down on our luck.” When you begin to use the Law of Attraction, you will slowly begin to see the possibilities in every situation, instead of just feeling like you got the short end of the stick.
3. The Law of Attraction will make you more optimistic. As stated above, when you begin to use the power of your thoughts to increase positive energy, you will naturally become more optimistic. You’ll begin to see potential, whereas you may have once seen a terrible outcome.
Some of the steps to using the Law of Attraction in your life include:
· Use daily positive affirmations to increase your optimism.
· Start anticipating the best in your life, verses the worst.
· Prepare yourself for the good things to come by taking action in your own life.
Why Doesn’t the Law of Attraction Work For Me?
Question: I’ve been trying to use the Law of Attraction in my life, but it just doesn’t seem to be working for me. Everything in my life is still the same as it was before. Why doesn’t the Law of Attraction seem to work for me?
Answer: First, I must tell you that the Law of Attraction is always at work, whether you realize it or not. It sounds like you may be experiencing some frustration because things aren’t going the way you expected them to. Truth is, things probably are happening exactly as you expected them to. Allow me to explain…
The Law of Attraction is in constant motion. What this simply means is that you are attracting your deepest intentions. Now, those intentions may be totally different from what you think your intentions are.
Let’s say, for example, you want a raise at your job. So you start thinking about that, meditate upon it and ask for it. In the back of your mind, though, you may be thinking something like, ‘This isn’t going to work. How can just asking the Universe for something make it happen? I’m really not sure this is going to work for me.’
Those negative thoughts just canceled out any positive energy you may have been vibrating towards getting that raise on your job! Here’s another thought for you…
The Law of Attraction isn’t some weird magic fairy that gives you what you want just because you ask for it. You must begin acting “as if.” Act as if you already have that raise. Or better yet, ask yourself what you might would need to do to get your boss’s attention and help him see that you deserve that raise? Then start acting on that.
If the Law of Attraction isn’t working for you, start asking yourself what you’re doing wrong. Then fix it.
