5 Symptoms of Low Self-Esteem

Self-esteem is the inner feeling of pride or worth that a person possesses. Those will poor self-esteem often hold feelings of worthlessness and self-loathing inside. They often struggle to feel like they are important or have a place in their world. They might even feel lost or hopeless, like nothing they say or do ever matters or makes a difference. If you are struggling with these, or similar feelings, you might have low self-esteem.

Low Self-Esteem Symptoms

Low self-esteem symptom #1: I’m worthless. Do you feel like you aren’t good enough? Like you just can’t measure up, no matter what you do or how hard you try?

Low self-esteem symptom #2: It’s hopeless. Do you feel like even though you try, your situation remains hopeless? Like you will never find hope in it?

Low self-esteem symptom #3: I can’t do it. Do you constantly tell yourself you can’t do something? Or you aren’t capable of accomplishing something?

Low self-esteem symptom #4: I’ll never amount to anything. Do you often berate yourself, rarely giving yourself credit for any of your skills or talents?

Low self-esteem symptom #5: Everybody’s laughing at me. Do you feel like others are staring at you or talking about you behind your back? Is it hard to receive constructive feedback from others?

These are just a few symptoms of low self-esteem. These could give you a clue that this is an area of your life you need to work on.
