1. Use positive affirmations to boost your spirits. Positive affirmations are easy pick-me-ups that you can use anytime, anywhere. Best of all, nobody has to know about them because you can repeat them silently to yourself in your mind, if you choose.

2. Think of yourself in the most positive way you can. If you have low self-esteem, you are probably used to saying really rotten things to yourself about yourself. Turn that around immediately by thinking about your best qualities. Maybe it’s your smile, or your eyes, or your outgoing personality. Stop focusing on all the things you don’t like about yourself and focus on the best.

3. Act positive, even if you don’t feel it. A wise person once said that nobody knows you’re unconfident until you show them that you are. This is so true. Exude total confidence and everyone around you will feel it too.

4. Start with a clean slate every day. So you might not have done everything you wanted to do yesterday. So what? Today is a brand new day. Start every day fresh, with a positive perspective and see what you can accomplish.

5. Believe in yourself. This is the most important thing you can do to boost your self-esteem. Stop doubting yourself. When you’re good at something, believe in yourself to perform at your highest possible level. If you won’t believe in yourself, who will?
